The campaign begins on May 16 at 11:00 AM EDT and ends June 2, giving backers just over 3 weeks to pledge for the board game adaptation of the cult classic Motion Twins and Evil Empire Studios video game to receive the limited-edition Poison Beheaded Collectible Figure.
The Poison Beheaded Limited-Edition Collectible Figure is available exclusively through the Kickstarter campaign as an add-on. Standing at 20 cm, the stunning hand-painted collectible portrays one of the main characters of the board game, imagined by the illustrator Naïade and based on the character Beheaded from the video game Dead Cells. A perfect addition to Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game and a must-have for all Dead Cell diehards!
Speaking on the creation of the Collectible Figure, Manuel Sanchez, Studio Director at Scorpion Masqué shared, “I had just received Thomas's 3D sculpt based on Naïade's concepts... and Motion Twin and I were floored by the result. We had been wanting to create something other than a simple game piece for our campaign, something larger, but we didn't have the expertise to make larger-scale collectible pieces. It was around this same time that we had a meeting at the PureArts studios for a completely different project... and Dead Cells kind of stole the show from the other projects we'd met to discuss. They immediately jumped on the plan to make an exclusive collector's piece. And even though we were already deep in the process of preparing the game, we found ourselves making budgets, presenting quotes, and discussing technical details in order to allow this unique piece to see the light of day especially for this campaign! I'm extremely proud to present it to you today, and I hope that our backers will love it as much as I do!"
